Transforming into an Ephsians 4 Church

130203-call-to-action

Minister Carrie M. Mitchell

People who do not know God experience His grace and mercy through evangelism in the first century.

Religion has shifted institutionalism elevated those who has attended seminary and person’s who had some form of Higher Education. Don’t misunderstand me because I too am a product of higher education. But, what seminary or college did Aquila and Priscilla attend, what about Timothy. Jesus, chose Peter who had the pleasure of being chosen by Jesus to be the rock upon which his church would be built.

This shift hurt the church in many ways, it raised up the pastors the result was a lower expectation of the people. This movement caused the equipping model seen in the first century leaders is long gone. Now, we have the attendance model this is the model today.

The traditional mainline church is fading way. There need to be a mind shift to regain a missional movement in the church. Within the missional movement is one of engagement engaging more people in the work of ministry and living out God’s design for His church, it’s a return to the first century leaders model to equip the people.

This is a call to action. The call to the church to equip people for works of service. How do we achieve this action?

  1. Invest deeply in the lives of people.
  2. Equipping them with the tools they need to lead.
  3. Empower them to engage in ministry this is the heart beat to turn it around.

We hope you will join us in a discussion of new ways of embracing this call to action.
